Each Conference Has a Theme?

I always think each General Conference has a theme...but look here. I took all twelve apostles and the First Presidency talks and created this tag cloud to see if it was true.

No theme, really. This is what you'd expect, isn't it?

Teaching about God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost, faith and the personal power that comes through the Priesthood to do the work of the church and live a good life.

Another way to look at it is through the Topics page on the General Conference site.

Obedience, Agency, Faith, Repentance, the Holy Ghost, Family, Revelation and Jesus Christ are the top topics.

Take a few minutes and read or listen to your favorite talks...what did YOU need to hear?

  1. Interesting - I felt like there was a theme about the reality of Satan. But nothing about Satan made it onto your tag cloud.

  2. I guess I felt like the theme I got was more of a "the world is getting bad, but stay strong and you can do it", but that is usally what Conference is meant to make us feel, right? But yeah, there were a lot of various talks on different subjects. It was wonderful!
